DeuXality Games are proud to have worked alongside Inverness Museum And Art Gallery/Highlife Highland in order to deliver 2016’s “Building Blocks” Exhibit.
With a mixture of VR and AR, there is something for everyone to enjoy, even the grown up children!
Building Blocks is an interactive exhibition for all ages, enabling visitors to experience architecture in new and innovation ways as part of the Festival of Architecture 2016. You will be able to visit our own Highland Minecraft server with the latest Oculus Rift virtual reality technology as well as experience Inverness Castle and our Wolf Stone in exciting 3D augmented reality. With a dedicated kids zone including papercraft and building activities, there’s something to keep even the youngest architects entertained.
In response to the Year of Innovation, Architecture, and Design, iMAG are asking schools and the public to design and build ‘a place of their own’ exploring architecture and building materials within Minecraft. Join our Highland Minecraft server, Mineverness, and take part in our online building project with weekly winners being displayed in the Building Blocks exhibition. You will need your own Minecraft account to take part and full instructions can be found here.
As part of our Building Blocks exhibition, you can download our augmented reality app and experience Inverness Castle and the museum’s own Wolf Stone in 3D on your tablet or smartphone. Simply download ‘IMAG AR’ from the App Store or Google Play for free. Full instructions and targets can be found here.
The Exhibit will run from:
Inverness: May 21st until June 18th Wick: Throughout July
